Clara McNeal (she/her), Legal Service Assistant, received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley in 2024. While in school, Clara interned with UnCommon Law on the Legal Team. She also completed policy-based internships with the Ella Baker Center and Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB), where she learned about prison closure campaigns and policy efforts aimed at reducing the systemic harm caused by incarceration.
Clara is passionate about bringing healing, community, and care to system-impacted people and their families. Along with her work at UnCommon Law, she is a Junior Counselor with Project Avary, where she supports children impacted by parental incarceration.
